RENO, NV / COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — June 2, 2021 — Fins Attached, a global marine research and conservation organization focused on sharks, the ocean’s apex predators, has announced a series of highly unique experiential auctions to take place on June 9, 2021, through June 16, 2021, using the Zeromint NFT Marketplace, a new global marketplace for the auction and sale of premium and curated Non- Fungible Tokens (NFTs). All NFTs will be minted on the GoChain protocol, a truly green blockchain protocol, with near-zero carbon footprint. Fins Attached plans to utilize any proceeds from NFT sales to support shark research and in support of various expeditions scheduled in 2021.
Journey of a Lifetime Grand Prize
The Grand Prize (1 available): SHARK AMBASSADOR-VIP#1, will provide the winner an NFT granting access to a private journey for 10 aboard the Sharkwater for the Coastal Costa Rica Research Expedition, as part of a shark research expedition. Winner will be able to name and sponsor a shark tagged during the journey, and watch it re-deployed to the sea.
The NFT will include a digital representation of the VIP ticket, along with a digital copy of an original hand-drawn pencil sketch of a Great White Shark by UK artist Nicola Fielding.
Additional NFTs will be minted after the journey, including a digital certificate NFT commemorating the expedition that will include the name and image of the shark, which can then be followed around the Pacific Ocean via a shark tracking website. A personalized NFT with short video clips and photos from the trip will also be minted, featuring sharks and manta rays that we tag during the trip.
The whole boat charter, and associated NFTs, for the winner and friends is worth approximately $80,000 USD, and includes VIP privileges on future expeditions. As with all Zeromint NFTs, these NFTs can be re-sold or transferred at the winner’s discretion.

Auctions will take place for 2nd and 3rd prizes to allow more options for supporters to take part in helping fund this amazing research.
2nd Prize (4 available): Each winner will receive an NFT good for one seat aboard Sharkwater during a trip that is most convenient for them. This will include an initial digital ticket NFT, a custom Mike Coots NFT, and post-journey NFTs to include the image and name of a shark (named by the winner) tagged during the expedition, and and an additional personalized NFT with photos and videos from the journey.
3rd Prize (20 available): Each winner will be able to select (via displayed images), name, sponsor and track a shark, and will receive an NFT newly minted with their shark’s photo, assigned name, and location tracking code.
In addition to the auctions, “Shark Sponsorship” NFTs will be sold for a flat $100 that will include an image and tracking codes for a unique shark (assigned at random).
